how about a gentlemans folder, like a crkt swindle or other simalar knives

its a bit more expensive than you were planning on, but they make nice carry knives that most people wont be scared of.

All of these knives I'm linking to the amazon price which is much cheaper. The MSRP's are either in the 50-65 range, or the Amazon price is in the 50-65 range and the MSRP is much higher.

Just to add a few more that fall well under budget and are still awesome.

I've lurked here for a while and thought I should make my first post.

I'm also looking for a better wallet similar to mine. I've checked out the Hitch and Timber Card Caddy, but can't justify the price. Any recommendations?

Any other feedback is also welcome :)

Don't know what's legal in your area or the kind of knife you'd like. I've included a nice looking one and a compact one, I'm sure others will advise as to more rugged knives.

Yeah, the Emerson's are a bit stabby, ok a lot. The Injection is pretty nice looking and a bunch of the reviews I found were quite favorable. Another to consider is the CRKT Swindle, but it's a tad above your price range and people seem to either love it or hate it. If you want people friendly, I can't think of many things better than Opinels. Sometimes people see a G10/TI knife and go "He's gonna slit my throat!" But if it's an Opinel, or any wood/bone handled knife they go "aww furry wabbit or just like my grandad used to carry'

I don't know, half the amazon reviews call it a "gentleman's folder".

I guess because it's not wood handled and has a nice form factor

I had this knife and always thought it was very elegant. Very smooth and sharp, but the clip sucks. It fell out of my pocket so much so that I eventually lost it.

If you give up the blade shape there are quite a few knives like that. The
Crkt Eros ss
, CRKT Swindle, Kershaw Amplitude
, and Kershaw Leek all have thin blades and full metal handles but all have slightly different blade shapes.

The CRKT Swindle is a very slim flipper with a unique pocket clip. I really like it when I'm wearing a suit. It's also very affordable, which is fine with me since if I'm wearing a suit my knife is pretty much a letter opener that day.

Here are some thoughts:

Boker Kwaiken. Different blade shape that what you've shown, but similar feel.

CRKT Hissatsu. Altogether different shape, but it's relatively simple and should meet your requirements.

CRKT Swindle. Again, not the right shape, but could fill the same need.

Sanrenmu GB-704. You said "Po'boy," right?
