If you got a Dollar Tree or other Dollar store nearby go check it out. I got 2 packs of ID badges retractors which came 3 to a pack. I bought 2 packs of Carabiners which were 3 to a pack, and then mounted them using large Office Binder clips and a piece of a thin strip of sheet metal which was screwed on both sides which were longer then the Office Binder clips and secured them to the ceiling. I then used the Carabiner to attach to the "wings" of the office Binder clip, and the keyring that came on the Carabiner then allowed the ID badge to clip onto it. On the bottom of the ID badge retractor I used a second Carabiner.

It was cheap as fuck to make and they work excellent. If you don't have any sheet metal just cut up a pop can, and make sure the strips are longer then the length of the Office Binder Clip, thread it through the clip, and then screw it up into the ceiling on both sides.

I also made pretty cheap sensor mounts if anyone is interested.

The cheapest and easiest are folder clips like these. Just take off the levers, turn 'em upside down, clip the paper mini in.

There was a plastic one that someone linked in another thread the other day but I can't remember the name of them. They had cardboard inserts that seemed pretty spiffy.
