Sorbet! We make it a few times a week. Blend up a bunch of fruit with a little lemon juice, pop it in the ice cream maker (AWESOME investment), and in 15 minutes you have a delicious sorbet. You can use berries for clean eating, or pick higher sugar fruits if you want.. it IS still fruit, and the best part is you're still getting all the fiber.

Lately we've made strawberry, peach, blueberry, raspberry, and mango. My favorite was the blueberry but they were all delicious. We also made that banana coconut milk version of ice cream and it was creamy and good, but a little higher calorie for my preferences.

Thanks for this info! I really appreciate the huge quantity of notes and observations you put on that recipe, /u/kennufs, it's also been very influential to me.

I can definitely see the high protein throwing off the ice cream, both texture and flavor. I'd be trying mine in an ice cream maker, the countertop kind with the frozen bowl, like this one: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0041A3KPC/ref=psdc_289924_t1_B0006ONQOC and I will let you know how it goes!

I'm following all these alternate format (brownies, cookies, bars, etc) attempts with a lot of anticipation!
