A remember sitting in the waiting room for a doctor's office and flipping through a medical supply catalog they had sitting out. Holy shit, everything was so expensive. Even the normal office supply stuff was like 5-10x the price it would have been at Staples. I get business-to-business costs a little bit more than business-to-consumer but everything was way more expensive than necessary.
I remember one of these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000LNI4O0 cost $85 as compared to the $9 Amazon sells it for. Maybe the medical one was made in America or had special antimicrobial properties but I suspect it was just the exact same as the cheap ones, just marked up for medical offices because they could.
