Holy shit, this is actually a real thing.

That seems like overkill to me when you can just drip and dribble or have a larger surge into something designed for it.
I find it HILARIOUS that you can't admit you were wrong!
Edit: I don't consider Silva's punch an anchor punch because it wasn't much of a cross. Hell you could almost call it a stiff jab since it was thrown with no hip and not much shoulder movement.
In truth, this punch doesn't have a well defined name. Like I said, it is to the cross what the check hook is to the hook. It's a counter cross thrown backing away without a solid plant.

Have you thought about guards? If nothing else they should give some added protection against close calls.
