Day trading is already a bad idea to begin with especially in this day and age where HF's are essentially stealing from you on every transaction. It is doubly unwise to go into day trading with no prior knowledge, no capital, and no backup plan. However, if you must go into trading you should definitely read up on technical analysis. Diary of a Professional Commodity Trader is a great read for people who already have a working knowledge of technicals and chart-based trading.
open a small accont, risk a little of if for each trade (less than .3% of your capital) and study the markets.
