Throwaway because this is a little gross. A couple months ago I got several warts on my hands, and I can't get rid of them. Since warts are contagious, I've been trying to keep my hands covered, especially in public. I've been wearing fingerless compression gloves like these, but they're really...not subtle (flesh-toned ones in good quality material are weirdly hard to come by). Anyhow, my co-workers have picked up on this and I get a lot of comments, from concerned-but-prying questions about my hands to flat-out snark about what I imagine is perceived as some kind of weird coder-style choice?

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to "style" the need to keep one's hands covered in a way that will not draw as much attention?

Edit: Thanks for the replies so far! Unfortunately, I've tried removing the warts several times by various means and they keep growing back :( I put bandages on under the gloves, but I have trouble keeping them on when I wash my hands (I have warts on palms/back of hands so it's not really an easy place to keep bandaids on).

I still haven't been formally diagnosed with arthritis (all the early blood work came back negative for all the markers - waiting on next steps to take) but I have all the symptoms - pain and swelling in my hands and feet, especially in the morning. My hands are much worse than my feet, and I sleep with compression gloves every night. They absolutely make a major difference for me. I still have pain and stiffness in the morning, but it's definitely noticeably better than when I don't wear them.

I bought these on Amazon:
