Looks to be inspired by the cover of Daizenshuu 1.

Only Daizenshuu 1 has been released into English under the title "Dragon Ball: The Complete Illustrations". Most of the others can be found for sale on ebay or through third party sellers on Amazon. Likewise, Daizenshuu 7 has been translated by Magikarp46.

Alternatively, you could go to the Kanzenshuu website where they have translations of pretty much all the interviews and whatnot from the guidebooks.

Dragon Ball: The Complete Illustrations, (AKA the first Daizenshu), it's all the chapter and cover art from Shonen Jump back when Dragon Ball was first released.

It's really nice quality too! Here's a YouTube review of it.

I remember the original for this image. It was a poster from a 1990 issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump (#30? Don't have my notes in front of me) that featured Goku and Gohan.

Toriyama identified it as the only standalone Dragon Ball illustration he was happy with in his interview from Daizenshuu volume 1 (The Complete Illustrations, available in English from Viz), but later on, in his interview with Ei'ichirō Oda in the One Piece artbook Color Walk 1 (also available in English, though maybe out of print), he couldn't remember why he said this. That's Toriyama for you....

By the way, the majority of that "fan art" is just copying Toriyama's work and claiming it as their own. That, or it's copying Yamamuro's or Nakatsuru's work, which is based on Toriyama's designs. I don't even know what the fuck I saw today. I need to do something because your comment just pissed me off. Thanks.
