To fill my Eco, I pull the nib and feed out and use a blunt-tipped syringe to inject ink directly into the barrel of the pen. The syringes I use are the perfect diameter to fit in the little hole at the base of the chamber. Here is the link to the syringes I use

Unfortunately, yes you did purchase a fountain pen with calligraphy nibs, however the 'fine' nib will work well for regular fountain pen writing as I have done in past, and still occasionally do. I hope the points below help you out. Generally, the wider the nib, the more ink it will lay down on the paper, the longer it will take to dry and be smudge resistant. Maybe someone else can address the cartridge cost, they can be refilled with a Blunt tip syringe and any regular bottled fountain pen ink or you can get a cartridge converter.

Remember that fountain pens typically use a much lighter pressure on the paper than most ballpoint pens do, so that might be part of the problem with pen laying down too much ink. The paper you use can make a large difference for how fast the ink dries - the shinier the paper, the longer it takes to absorb, and using an Inkjet printer paper seems to make the ink take longer to dry vs laser printer paper. Some papers will actually 'bleed' the ink all the way through the page (and pull much more ink out of the paper, like a blotting paper - but this is trial and error until you find one you like at the price you like as well.)

I might suggest following link from under Useful Information on the right pane of r/fountainpens for General tips for left-handed FP users along with the other links there.

There is also a whole lot of helpful hints and tips in the right hand pane of r/handwriting under Helpful resources, which I have copied/pasted below.

You can buy vials from Amazon or [Goulet] (https://www.gouletpens.com/goulet-empty-ink-sample-vials/p/GP-10006). And you can get blunt syringes from [Amazon] (https://www.amazon.com/Duda-Energy-Syringepk001-Industrial-Syringes/dp/B00NDETMR2/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1485633133&sr=8-4&keywords=blunt+syringe) or Goulet as well. You can also use any small glass or plastic vial you might have, I recommend small spice or jewelry jars. You can often find them in craft shops if that's easier and more local for you. Blunt syringes aren't as easy to find in person, but you can often find wood glue syringes like this in any local woodworking or craft shops.

I use these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NDETMR2/ref=pd_sim_328_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=T0R49HTGYE0X7SCB0QCE

I love my PureGold carts for the flavor but they break ALL the time, so I keep a pack of these syringes around.

Your dosing is correct, same as I have.

I ordered these syringes from Amazon that are 1ml and can measure up to .01ml accurately. I take around .03ml to a little over .05ml at a time and can dose that quite accurately, and my personal results agree, a very mellow, not drunken dazey sort of high at this dosage.

Once I started this ratio I'll never go back, won't have to ever buy PG again haha. Maybe go down to 1mg/7.5ml or so just to give a bit more wiggle room with dosage but the syringes are very nice and sturdy, don't fluctuate the oral syringes I'd used before, and it comes with 10 if you need extras! Pick em up and you're good to go my man.

I got everything separately.. Now I know I should have gotten my flavors and nicotine from wizard labs, but I ordered nicotine from nude nicotine and flavors from TFA's website. Also don't get a pack of flavors, just pick a couple of recipes you'd like and order those flavors. Here is a shitload of VG for sale on amazon. Grab some syringes, and glass dropper bottles while you are there and you're ready..

EDIT: You'll also need some bigger syringes or a graduated cylinder..

I would read the sub for a couple of days, make sure to look at the top posts and search some stuff you think of.. I really wish I would have done that before I just bought a bunch of shit.

For the PG solution I use the small visine (eye drops) bottles. I calibrate each bottle I mix up but from memory it's something like 25 drops to a mL. Not sure what API means, but I'll throw out a guess and think it's alcohol. You'll have to do some research to see if the plastic they use for the bottle reacts with alcohol (or whatever solvent you end up using)

That pipette you linked to sucks ass. It's very flimsy, thin plastic. It can be broken or malformed very easily. That said, yes, it would work. Personally I recommend you get something more formidable. You will get better accuracy using a 1 mL insulin syringe. for instance: http://www.amazon.com/Pack-Industrial-Syringes-Blunt-Needle/dp/B00NDETMR2/

look on amazon, between the item description and the "questions ask/answered" section regarding the product, i have seen some where this information is provided. 0.1ml is the amount delivered from one i saw i believe.

-

I recommend this one... it's 30ml but EASILY fits into your pocket.

-

the glass one here is much better then the plastic one from the same company, and i'm relatively sure it delivers 0.1ml per squirt

-

To make sure, simply fill it with an amount of water measured using an oral syringe (available for free at almost all pharmacys, just ask the pharmacist, say that your little brother got some medicine that requires one for measurement and needs it... though i prefer ones with a long blunt tip, available on amazon as well [here's the 10ml ones i often use and love] (https://www.amazon.com/Duda-Energy-Syringepk010-Industrial-Syringes/dp/B00DXPRTHG/ref=nav_ya_signin?ie=UTF8&qid=1467798872&sr=8-2&keywords=10+ml+blunt+tip+syringe&)

and [here's some 1ml ones] (https://www.amazon.com/Duda-Energy-Syringepk001-Industrial-Syringes/dp/B00NDETMR2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1467798956&sr=8-1&keywords=1ml+blunt+tip+syringe) that i got but haven't tried yet, they reviewed well though
