+1 on this, I use a guitar pick and it works well also. The plus side, a Jazz sized guitar pick helps with the kief, and also works as a badass little scraper to get all the ground cannabis out of the corners and into my face, can even shovel it into your bowl with the pic.

Great guitarist but the bands he's been in really fucking suck, having seen him live twice in the early 90s. Hell, I think I still have some of his pics around somewhere (actually he's probably why i started using the Jazz pics http://www.amazon.com/Dunlop-Tortex-Pitch-Guitar-1-14Mm/dp/B000PTQCJO ).
