Early on, I was in nasty drawdown period and I was having trouble figuring out what was off. I made the same mistake virtually all traders make, I caved to the vast collection of trading psychology books. When the guy mentoring me found out what I was reading, he gave me the following gem: Only pikers worry about psychology, either you have an edge and you exploit it, or you don't have one and you lose and chase every other excuse.

99% of finance books are garbage, but those are the ones I thought helped me in some way or another. There's also plenty of interesting research papers if you've got access to some databases.
Don't blow up. Learn how to price your options. TastyTrades has lots of great tutorials. For books I recommend Taleb's Dynamic Hedging: Managing Vanilla and Exotic Options https://www.amazon.com/Dynamic-Hedging-Managing-Vanilla-Options/dp/0471152803
I read his textbook Dynamic Hedging. I found it to be rigorous and thorough. I recommend it. The other books are interesting but opinionated.

I'd start with Bookstaber first. Yeah the book is "old" but the basic concepts are the same. Taleb gets more into all the Greek gunk

Looking for a challenge, eh?? Have at it.
I did some more thinking.
I know that Taleb's earlier content, such as Dynamic Hedging: Managing Vanilla and Exotic Options, is accepted in the trading world. His newer content is much more controversial and is subject to very heated discussion.
There is more nuance to Taleb than many folks realize, but I still hold reservations about him.
Please do not misunderstand. It's more his style I take issue with than his content. Just watch Twitter page to see what I mean.

Depends on what you're interested in -
Most of my work is in derivatives so would recommend
Those are good starter books and far, far beyond what you'll get out of all three levels of the CFA. There are much more mathematically focused books out there as well.
If you want to get mathy -
This was my first serious finance book in undergrad and I still reference it today.
Fixed Income
I'm probably least strong in the equity space but most people recommend this book (I haven't read it)
