Honestly, the hardest part is just running the wire. I am anal about doing things in a clean, long term, manner so naturally I had to plan it accordingly.
Also, since my car is a manual, I had to tie the signal into the reverse lamps to trigger the camera and receiver to kick on. This is automatic for automatic transmission vehicles; basically plug and play.
The cam I bought was expensive (as far as backup cams go), but I got the best one on the market (based on my situation/research). Extremely low light capable so there’s no need for led lamps, dynamic adjustable trajectory lines, a really small footprint, and weather resistant.
There are much cheaper options...
