Dell Inspiron 15 7567 $839 with a 1050Ti, 256GB ssd (user questions note that there is space for another hard drive)
Eluktronics N850HK1 $998 I've linked the version with the 1060, 128GB ssd, but there are other variations with more memory bigger SSD etc
Both taken from /r/SuggestALaptop's FAQ & Quick Pics side bar, more suggestions there too. I have no direct experience with either laptop.
The N850HP6 Pro-X. I added a 2.5 inch 1 TB hard drive. It’s a solid machine.
Hello, you have the option to get the Inspiron 7567 with an IPS display: Dell link. With the IPS display the screen is on par with most other laptops on the market in this price range.
You can check the models I found for you with my search tool: noteb search result.
If you want to change the search parameters, you can use the Refine results button. (EU/US) stands for Europe/USA only model.
You should consider the models recommended below, but in your budget you can get the N850HP6.
There's a couple in some of the reviews here: https://www.amazon.com/Eluktronics-N850HK1-Premium-Performance-Laptop/dp/B072X7YLMC/ Be sure to distinguish between which reviews are for the 15.6" and which are for the 17.3".
Also be aware Eluktronics ships these with the better LG LP156WF6-SPB1 panel which has 72% NTSC color gamut, 1000:1 contrast, and 300nit max brightness. Sager ships it with the LG LP156WF6-SPK3 panel which, while still much better than low-quality-TN panels like what's in the Dell 5577 and ASUS FX53VE (those models not recommended to non-screen-replacement-inclined individuals), only has 45% NTSC color gamut, 800:1 contrast, and 250nit max brightness.
I'd price-check your config vs. Eluktronics, and if Eluktronics comes out less than $50 more I'd probably suggest to go with them. For larger price differences you could just replace the screen yourself with the better one if you wanted.
You should save up for a gtx 1060 like this Eluktronics N850HP6 because it comes with everything you need , i7 quad core CPU which is one of the best in the market and great for your usage, 8 GB of ram for smooth multitasking, Good SSD storage of 256GB for faster boot up and loading time .
My best suggestion would be the Eluktronics N850 for $1050 which fits your needs incredibly well. It only has 8gb of ram and a 128gb SSD, but you can easily add another 8gb ram stick for ~$55, and you said you have a 1TB HDD to put in it. It's incredibly well built, has an excellent 1080p IPS display, and a great chassis with good cooling. It's a bit heavy though at 5.9 lbs.
Otherwise consider the Helios 300 for the same price. It already comes with a larger 256gb SSD and 16gb of ram, but the display and cooling won't be as good as the N850. It's a solid option if you're not interested in upgrading the ram yourself.
If you're looking for more suggestions or are interested in getting a better idea of options on the market, I suggest taking a look at my Laptop Suggestion Guide. Best of luck!
I recently brought this and I LOVE it. It hits all the bells and whistles,
1060, PCIe SSD, expandable ram. Room for an extra hard drive.

edit: whoops, realized you are in united kingdom. this may not be the best choice.
It seems to get a lot of good reviews from reddit and Amazon too.

Eluktronics N850HP6 - $1100
1060 w 6gb ram

128gb ssd - extra hd slot

8gb ram upgradeable to 32 gb I believe

Keyboard is fully customizable so you can turn off/dim the backlight or set it to 1 color
Eluktronics looks and feels good, and they have awesome customer service.
I haven't ordered anything yet but I'm leaning towards this one it has a 1060 and I like that it doesn't really scream gaming laptop
If you want the Specs of the Helios 300 with out the look of it you should check out the
Eluktronics P650HP6 Gaming Laptop
You can reduce the specs to lower the cost additionally its a bit on the heavy side. To get specs close to the Helios 300 and be lightweight is near impossible a this price point without compromising build quality
This Eluktronics N850HP6 Pro-X Premium Gaming Laptop is a good pick.. All you need to do later on is is to add a little more storage.
dont go 502vs route- that laptop has piss-poor thermals and cooling. If you really want to buy laptop around 1100 USD I would recommend either Acer Helios - provided you will add a HDD.
