There are spatulas to scrape out the last week of foundation from glass bottles, highly recommend.

I actually got a super tiny one from amazon for like 7 bucks? Seeing how much extra product I was able to get out of tubes made it worth it for me. But I’ve also seen super tiny kitchen spatulas. If you’re really in a bind you can use q-tips and pitch them afterwards. It’ll be a bit messier on your hands, but hey, it works!

Link to Here’s the handy dandy spatula boi I bought!

You will be pretty much saying "Hey mold and bacteria, come play in my foundation bottle!" It is not safe nor worth it to dilute products with water. If you want to get every last drop, try a beauty spatula!

u/fantastic_lee · 13 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

Girl save your knife and get a beauty spatula! they're awesome for all containers and even getting into foundation bottle corners :)

u/yumit18 · 13 pointsr/PanPorn

i think the spatula brand has a thinner one for concealers and looking back i would've gotten that one since i could've used that one for foundation and concealer

i bought the bottle i have in japan i think, but this is the closest i could find. it's great bc it's a vacuum pump

Sorry for the bad quality, it looked okay on my phone but it looks pretty bad on laptop ;_;

I used a beauty spatula to scrape out as much product as I could. Unfortunately the shape of the spatula didn't allow for me to get the product at the top of the bottles.

The e.l.f Flawless Finish foundation is actually the first foundation I ever bought! I've been using it since senior year high school and have continuously repurchased. It's really cheap and can easily be sheered out/ built up so it's a favorite :-)

The YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat was a gift, and the shade was too light for me, so I only used it in combination with my Lancome Teint Idole (which is too dark lol... I had no idea Sephora color matched so off). Mixed together they give a really comfortable, skin-like medium coverage look. This is a bottle of the old formulation, and I haven't repurchased because A) apparently the new formulation isn't as good as the old one? and B) I'm not sure if the shades are the same as the old ones. Now I'm stuck with half a bottle of the Lancome foundation that's too dark for me lol.

You could get one of these. Worth every cent.

Not too long ago I spent $10 on Amazon, buying two things that will inevitably save me a ton of money: one was a foundation spatula and the other was ....these things, however I wouldn't recommend these exact ones, because they're actually quite small.

But seriously, these are good investments for us skincare addicts!!

u/FlipACoin · 8 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

Sephora sells them (although apparently not online) for $6. They look pretty much like this: http://www.amazon.com/Every-Beauty-Drop-Spatula/dp/B0069VYSFM

Ok so everyone has pretty much covered what I think are the best ways to save money. I have one last one.

Buy this: Mini Spatula (or something similar to it)

It's perfect for scooping out every last bit of cream/aio/essence/etc when decanting or finishing a product. And of course, always cut open bottles to get every drop of goodness. :)

You can pick up a beauty spatula in a ton of places - even walmart carries them in the US. In Canada, you can get them from Amazon (non affiliate link)

I bought myself one of the Every Drop Beauty Spatulas. I scoop it out into some small jars I bought from Daiso. Definitely worth the investment.

Spatty daddy (USA)

I've also found the Every Drop spatula for £9.99

and $15.95 US

I found these on Amazon to help get every last drop of product! It works perfect for concealer. And then I cleaned what was left in the tube with a makeup wipe

u/Peanut86 · 4 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

Have you tried a make up spatula? Thats what I use for all my glass bottles.

Exactly. And they could save money on packaging, I would guess, if they used a plastic airless pump instead of glass. Though that would be worse for the environment, I suppose. With some I just rip out the plastic hole piece with pliers and decant it into an airless pump. It can be difficult to get it all out of the sides with glass, but I have the Every Drop Beauty Spatula (not an affiliate link) and that helps scrape down the sides. So ridiculous to have to go through that, though.

u/kangaroo10 · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

you can order a cosmetic spatula from online to try and scrape everything out from the bottle

u/imallwrite · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I use a tiny rubber spatula intended for getting the last drops of product out of bottles. It's like this but a different shape. Love it!

u/absitively · 3 pointsr/AsianBeauty

There's these long spatulas that might help.

u/anhuys · 2 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

there is one, I've seen it. I'll look it up for you and get back to it, but there's a specific object made for this purpose
edit: there's this and this

u/sarah_awesome · 2 pointsr/PanPorn

When I worked at Ulta, they used those disposable makeup spatulas. Since you'll be the only one using it, maybe check this out -> Every Drop Beauty Spatula

u/carkur · 2 pointsr/PanPorn

If you’re really interested, I’d buy a makeup spatula. The one I have that I feel does best with wnw foundation (I always transfer it into an airless pump upon buying because I hate the built-in spatula) is:

For anyone curious about what to store your liquid foundation in after you've hacked open the bottle, these are the guys I use and found to be a good size and pretty damn airtight. I had tried several others in the past, but they don't travel as well as these do.

Also, this is hokey but every year my aunt gives this to us and I swear by this damn thing for glass bottles in case anyone wanted to know how to get every lost drop from bottles you can't just hack open lol.

u/idwthis · 1 pointr/BeautyBoxes

They make little tiny spatulas for getting make up out of bottles! They come in quite handy.

I agree about the Sincerely perfume. Way to strong, a bit on the old lady side of scents and way too many scents of this and essences of that.

u/RachelknowsBest · 1 pointr/SkincareAddiction

Highly recommend this little guy. It's shape, the long handle, it's amazing and I definitely get the most out of my products.

Just get a little spatula. They have ones specifically designed for makeup, like this

u/sadstarfish · 1 pointr/AsianBeauty

Not so far, it's just a regular squeeze bottle. The top is quite tapered, though, so once I get to the very end, there may be some stuck at the top, but I don't think that's anything that tapping the bottle a little won't fix.

Side note: I really want to invest in one of [these] (http://www.amazon.com/Every-Drop-Beauty-Spatula/dp/B0069VYSFM/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1457055889&sr=8-1&keywords=every+last+drop+spatula) for that type of situation. :)

u/25til9 · 1 pointr/MakeupAddiction

I don't know about depotting, but you could try one of these little spatulas.

u/kahlex · 1 pointr/MakeupAddiction

You could get a beauty spatula and scoop some out every time.

u/Pianoangel420 · 1 pointr/SkincareAddiction

It's at Wal Mart, Target and on Amazon!
