  1. AMD Ryzen 9 3900x (or 3950x when it comes out).
  2. ASRock X570 Taichi.
  3. G.SKILL Trident Z Neo 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4-3600 CAS16 RAM.
  4. 1TB NVMe SSD boot drive (970 Evo is ideal, but I'd settle for Inland too)
  5. 4TB Samsung 860 Evo storage drive.
  6. RTX 2080 Super or 2080Ti. Hybrid models like EVGA's or Gigabyte's are great at being cool AND quiet.
  7. EVGA 850 G2 power supply
  8. A nice big case to keep it all cool and quiet. Meshify S2 is my favorite.
  9. Optional: A big CPU cooler like the Noctua NH-D15. The one that comes with the 3900x is good enough to keep it all cool.

EDIT: For all the people saying "not enough X, needs more Y", the comic asks "What would be YOUR dream computer?" This is my dream computer (since it's likely the one I'm going to build next). Thanks!

I bought the i7 6700/1080 R5 model from Best Buy, because I didn't want to wait for the R5 custom build delays that people were experiencing. I have the 460W PSU and have not experienced any loud fan noise or any issues at all. I have however ordered [THIS](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LY4OJYJ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1an 850) 850W PSU to put in just to future proof it.

Thanks so much for the response! Ok so the test was only for 3 mins because that's when my computer froze... To answer your questions:

  1. my speccy snapshot is here http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=92376826554280783556. my PSU is here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LY4OJYJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  2. no antivirus. I just reinstalled windows trying to troubleshoot.
  3. drivers are all up to date. no issues in device manager.
  4. always running are my VPN and chrome. i often run deluge as well, but that's not autostart.
  5. A USB hub. (has a lightning cable to connect my phone when needed) and an external HDD
  6. unfortunately has always been an issue.
  7. The computer will freeze randomly and will not respond to mouse or keyboard. only way to unfreeze is to do a hard reboot
  8. only BIOS setting change was to allow the PC to revert back to whatever state it was in before power loss.

Let me know if I should try to run the tests for longer.

Je ne te compres pas...
Honestly, this is beyond my expertise but ill give you my humble opinion.
Are you sure your cpu will give you the most out of your graphic cards? I feel like you could use a a more powerful cpu.
are you gaming with the second monitor? Bc if you are just going to use just for social media while gaming i would suggest you to get a hp pavilion monitor at $90.00.

You can use win 10 without paying for it, just download the driver and click that you will activate the key code later. Its pretty much the same as win 10, just that you will have a water mark in your right bottom corner telling to to activate it. Also, you wouldn't be able to your background screen from windows but you will be able to do it from google (just right click the image and click set as a background)
And the most important thing... YOU ARE MISSING RGB!!!
Edit
I think this psu is better for your rig https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LY4OJYJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_0JAPzbCV07BSN
Gold standard does a fine a job, platinum and titanium are pretty much much for bragging rights.

Fair enough, that would handle dual if you wanted in the future.

For the same price get their newer G3 version.

PSU: EVGA Supernova 850 G3

Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B450-F

GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 FE

You see, the thing is, I can go days without this power issue occurring. But, like you, when it does happen, it is totally random and seemingly unrelated to desktop application usage. It happens when I pause a YouTube video then walk away to eat dinner, and it happens in the middle of CS:GO matches. It happens after maximizing my GPU overclock and while playing No Man's Sky, and it happens while I'm actively surfing the web. I have found no reasonable explanation, because I've also found it to happen when I have iTunes open while I'm playing a video game. So, even if I can get the issue to not occur for a whole day, that is still not enough evidence that a change of mine has effectively stopped the issue.

Here's an amazon link for about the same PSU right here It's only $20 more

As far as the 960 EVO 500GB SSD goes it's available in Amazon you just gotta look lel look here just add to cart the one that's fulfilled by Amazon

Amazon honestly has some of the weirdest listing system I've seen. NCIX is literally the worst. It's literally finding a needle in a haystack. That being said, I hope everything you jotted down is fairly priced on Amazon. if you see some wacko price hikes let me know and Ill help you work something out.

I didn't know you were trying to keep it to Amazon so yeh.

Also I notice you mentioned getting "any 850W PSU" but the one you recommended is 750W. I just want to be sure I go for the best purchase. I'd like to order today if at all possible, but I want to wait until I'm positive because I won't have any more extra money to reorder before I return the current one.

edit: This one is the same brand/type and 850W, and the 1000W one is only $10 more because it's on sale. Would either or both of these be good choices? I'll order as soon as I'm positive the one we get will work for this build! :)
