Something like this? x1 versions are popular for crypto mining rigs.

I recommend https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NH0GW7Z/ -- it comes with a connector on the other end in 90 degree and 180 degree angles. I had to pick up a replacement because the riser cable in my Thermaltake Core P5 was utter crap, and this has been solid for me under anything I can throw at my GPU.

PCI Express 16x Flexible Cable Card Extension.

Allows me to set that card on its side and have fresh cool air from the 140mm fans blow through the fins on my r9. With the constant flow my fans only turn on when I am playing Witcher 3 or when I play CIV 6. Keeps it at a nice 55c when not gaming (Filters restrict air). Also that's one side of my corner desk so I had to find a way to keep it shallow so I wouldn't bump my knee every time I slid my leg under my desk. (I still bump my knee every time I slid my legs under my desk)

Edit - For the love of god make sure you look into the cable before you buy it. I saw so many horror stories of fried cards and bricked motherboards.

Get this one instead. Way better build quality and performance. Running a 1070 @ 2100mhz on one now.

u/xfi21 · 4 pointsr/buildapcsales

Yes. Here's the one I've been using for the past few months with no issues.

You are going to want a well shielded riser. LianLi used to sell some quality ones, not sure if they still do though. Cooler Master does as well.

EDIT: Here is one I found that appears to be decent quality and has good reviews.

As far as I can tell, the flex atx psu sits where the GPU wants to be in standard orientation. You could replace the PSU with a picoPSU and use that space, but then you run into the height restriction inherent in this design. The case is only 3.375" high. As you can see in this photo, a standard low profile GPU measures 3.125" above the motherboard tray. It sound like it would fit, except for this photo. A standard atx i/o panel measures 6.26" x 1.76". The opening begins .093" below the bottom of the motherboard and .534" form the end of the motherboard. As you can see, InWin shifted the motherboard panel upwards in order to allow for hdd/ssd placement. As a result, you can't use the PCI-e slot without significant mods.

However, If you were willing to use the picoPSU, which is more powerful than the included PSU, then you could use a riser cable to shift the GPU over and down. A standard low profile GPU measures roughly 1.5" x 2.75" x 6.7". A flexATX PSU measures 1.59" x 3.21" x 5.9". You'd have to come up with some way to hold the GPU in place. When I work with LP GPUs, I find velcro works perfectly. LP GPUs tend to have low cooling requirements and as a result, use light aluminum fin arrays.

The one thing I would caution you about is the choice of riser cable. For instance, I frequently use the ModDIY when space isn't an issue. It's cheap and effective. It will also extend beyond the GPU by about .5". When space is an issue, the I use the HDPlex riser. as you can see, it extends beyond the GPU by the tiniest bit. This is what you should use.

Hope this helps.

Mine didn't have one either and I just contacted Amazon and they refunded me $30 to buy one and I ordered this one and it's been working great. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NH0GW7Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_uzKFyb8EMKGQS

It was from an Amazon seller called EZDIY. They released a new model of the cable pretty pricey but pretty nice.

Edit: link

u/ben1481 · 2 pointsr/watercooling

link I have 2 of these and haven't come across any issues. Whatever you do, DO NOT use the thermaltake riser (the p5 includes one, the p3 does not). It is complete garbage and will cause you hours of frustration.

Apologies for the awful link but I'm on my phone. That one says 25cm, I think mine might have been 20cm but I can't remember. You don't want it too short or too long though, so that's another potential hiccup.

Holy Batman is that $87 for 1?? I have the same case and Bought this one that works perfectly.

Well I was gun-shy about the included riser cable which has had problems and found a new version of the EZdiy cable that was released about a month ago. I was not interested in paying 80 bucks for a cable and the initial reviews were really good. I tested pretty extensively with firestrike and timespy with the card directly slotted vs with the riser and everything checks out. A good option in my opinion for $30. That being said the riser that shipped with the case looked better than the pictures I had seen, shipped flat not folded etc. but I went with the EZdiy instead. After finding this link for it I am seeing that it's actually out of stock with a 5 star rating but here it is:

Try this one, I've been using one of these for over three years now and its perfect.

Not OP here. But, I have a P5 too. I use the EZDIY PCIe cables and in fact I am using two. Both my GPUs are highly OC'd and still run rock solid.

Before I tried watercooling, I had slightly higher 3dmark benches with the risers than without. I assume it's either standard score fluctuation, or perhaps slightly better due to more airflow, but there certainly wasn't any noticeable drop as I was kinda worried about. No artifacting/fps drops/crashing like I've heard.

I have a sound card behind the SLI setup as well that's nice and hidden with another riser, but they work great.

edit: not using the Thermaltake risers. Using these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NH0GW7Z/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
2x 25cm and 1x 9cm

u/LogIN87 · 1 pointr/hardwareswap

Which is good, because the riser cable they come with crap out. You do NOT want thermaltakes riser cable. Buy a legit one from 3M or something, and make sure its shielded!
This is the one I bought (no affiliation or anything), been using it for months without problems:

cut out one of the expansion slot support bars, zip tied the GPU bracket to the case (I passed the zip ties through the ventilation holes), connect the GPU using this extension cable then made a metal bracket to support the card on the other side.

Good to know I ordered mine from superbuy/taobao 2 weeks ago. . :)

Would this work? 20$ is pretty cheap compared to the more common 40 neeeded by more and .ore cases

u/Bergensis · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

This 25 cm long version?

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NH0GW7Z

I tried searching for a longer one on amazon.com and it resulted in an URL that was so long that my 27" 2560x1440 screen couldn't display all of it.

u/martindm03 · 1 pointr/buildapc

What you're looking for I believe is a PCI-E x16 90 degree riser. OR any PCI-E riser really. Something along these lines, or potentially something like this.

u/Computerknight54 · 1 pointr/buildapc

> Corsair 678c

Wow I forgot this case existed. TBH I'd suggest the Fractal Design R6 over it.

If you wish to use the mounts with the case, you need this https://www.amazon.com/EZDIY-FAB-Express-PCIe3-0-Flexible-Extension/dp/B01NH0GW7Z It simply clips on to the bottom of the card, and the card hangs from where it it screwed into the chassis. Also pushed up against the glass being chocked to death from heat

You could use something like this to set the card away from the glass, but you will need to modify the case a little bit https://www.amazon.com/Phanteks-PH-VGPUKT_02-Universal-Vertical-Pci/dp/B07MW73HTJ/

u/KimJongChickUn · 1 pointr/buildapc

And here is the product. I went through the sellers items and found it.
