You're welcome. My dad's a G.P. and he got copies of these for every one in my family. They are amazing.

You should read Fuck Feelings. It was really helpful when I was 'stuck' because I was terrified every decision I was about to make was wrong. I hope you can find a support system to help you through this. Involving my family was one of my better choices

It's a good book too. I recommend it for people trying to recover from Mormonism who keep getting lost in their feelings and what "should" be. It's helped me a lot.

[I am tempted to read this book] (https://www.amazon.com/Feelings-Practical-Managing-Impossible-Problems/dp/1476789991/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1474906930&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=fuck+feelinsg)

Yeah, breaking out of your role models is hard. Glad you were able to do it with the help.

I know therapy gets thrown around a helluva lot around here, but I had temporary self esteem issues for a bit in the past, and therapy really helped me out of it. I also read a book called Fuck Feelings which had a section on Self Esteem. That was also helpful in maintaining my self esteem whenever I was down about it (but logically knew it was bollocks).

Worry about yourself first. Depressed people can't help each other. It just doesn't work.

Also, I would recommend F*ck Feelings. I've read it and I think it helps people who are really stuck in a routine that can't escape. I have a copy of the book, if you want it you can PM me and we can find a way to send it to you. I would also just check your library too though.

I swear by the book F*ck Feelings by Bennitt. This is a legit post and the book opened my eyes on what I have control over in my life…and more importantly what I DON'T have control over and what I can do about it.

It is funny too. Good to lift the spirits.

It’s not about ADHD specifically, but mental illness in general. I can’t say I agree with all of his premises and he can get a bit repetitive, but it’s definitely my sense of humor.
