I don't find it particularly fashionable in the sense that well fitting basics don't have seasonality or any sense of zeitgeist-based inspiration.

you can wear this, any day of the week, any time and look good - don't get me wrong - your outfit is fine. it's not fashion, though

I wondered whether it was just my understanding of the term but wiki paraphrases a book by Susan Kaiser for an apt description:

>Fashion is a popular aesthetic expression in a certain time and context, especially in clothing, footwear, lifestyle, accessories, makeup, hairstyle and body proportions.

I'm missing the "in a certain time and context" element. This fit could be part of something as early as the 60s as well as the mids 2010s. Not even because it is a style that comes back in relapses, but because it doesn't seem to change or care about the times it's in.
