I really wanted to get my son the kids edition Kindle here The 2yr warranty was the biggest reason I wanted this one vs one of the cheaper ones. Being that he is almost 4 there is a possibility of it getting broken abd us not being able to replace it. My mom pays for a subscription to ABC mouse and it is terrible to navigate on the computer (and hard to for him to use on my phone). This is something that he can use for a long time. He already uses my phone for various free learning games but this offers a whole year of free kids books/apps/movies. He really could benefit from it.

He would also be happy with any of the playmobil rescue vehicles like this, this or this. He has one of the garbage trucks and a few of the people from the blind bags and it's easily his most played with toy.

him and him sleeping for another contest.

Does he have a tablet of any kind? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00YYZEQ1G/ref=fs_ods_fs_tab_fk Would be the best if he doesnt. There are SO many apps that will help him stay occupied. I tend to see alot of mature kids, get bored very easily. When theyre brains arent stimulated. You can download SO many different apps and it wont even feel like learning. Around that age brain stimulation is the absolute best, and with the technology these days, we are lucky to be able to have these tools to offer our children. But if you want him to have something hands on, this is perfect - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00YYZEQ1G/ref=fs_ods_fs_tab_fk

This isn't a stocking stuffer, but the kids version of the Fire, seen here can go a long way.

I would definelty recommend the new Amazon Fire Tablet. These things are great, and amazon app purchases can be tied to your account. These things are designed for kids too. They have a really tough case, and they have this special 2 year warrenty where you can get the tablet replaced no questions asked. Amazon also started this new underground app store system where normal apps that have in app purchases are all free.
