I would recommend this book.

However, in my opinion, 5-element diagnosis is less about identifying and diagnosis specific diseases, and more about identifying where individuals fall on a spectrum, which yields useful information about the lens from which they view reality, and thus the mode from which their life's actions spring. Daily human action is ultimately and cumulatively what ends up causing a lot of disease states and imbalances, whether these actions are habits, diet, emotional reactions, goals and desires, etc.
