Surprised these haven't been posted yet. A lot of people are happy with their Florsheim Veblens, though I personally haven't had any experience with them
If you like Florsheim and like longwings, try the Florsheim Veblen -- or better yet, try thrifting an old pair of shell cordovan Florsheim Imperials. The cordovan Imperials are supposed to be nearly indestructible.

But I'd say look for something like those (maybe not long wing) in brown for your "nice casual" shoe. Nice enough to wear with a Navy suit or slacks/blazer combo, but not so fancy that they look out of place with jeans. For sneakers I personally like adidas sambas, but you might not like those at all. I have huge feet so I'm limited to brands that make size 14.
Bass makes decent saddle shoes, though you shouldn't pay more than $60 for them. Opt for suede in that price range. Don't buy spectators, really.
