I'm hesitant to get any new units because the car is an 89 IROC and is original minus the radio. I don't want some weird looking Pioneer or anything in this car. If anything I'd probably get an old OEM replacement and use a cassette adapter.
I looked into a number of different options and this was the solution I eventually settled on. Sound quality is easily good enough for simple narration, and if you get an fm transmitter with bluetooth you can have it auto-pair with your phone when you get in. Won't find a better method at that price range.
I got this:

Buy one of those. If the '11 model is like my '07. The is a lighter plug inside the arm rest so it won't even show.
You phone probably can handle two bluetooth devices. The transmitter for music and the car for calls.
Edit: bad link
Here's the one I referred to: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NAT2U02/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It works reasonably well.

I bought this for my 04 xc70. Works great, doesn't involve disassembling the dashboard, just plugs into the lighter port. Has both Bluetooth, aux, and USB input.
