There are in-line high pass filters, like these. I don't know how well they work, but it seems like a pretty good solution if you can't find a plate amp with a built in filter.
actual bass drop prevention
Quick and proabably kinda a dumb question, but do you think it would be worth it to get this http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0006N41KG for my monitors so that they aren't attempeting to play low frequencies and fighting with the sub? Idk how big of a prob it would be, and I'm on a pretty right budget, so I'm not real sure if the extra $30 would be worth it. Thanks again.
