I've got both books, but I haven't actually built any of the guns yet (assembling the parts needed is a challenge, and I haven't gotten the gumption up to hit bricklink.com to pick them out and order them.
Still, very cool to check out. Some day, I'll build them.
The Lego site did have a bunch of pre-built designs, but I didn't find any of them all that great. They did have a bunch of sets of fancy houses though. I think this was the link to the gallery, if you thumb through them you might find more you like (but I don't have flash at the moment, so I can't directly link there, sorry.)
Also, there are a few books on Lego projects that don't have specific sets.
There's also a paper airplane launcher in Forbidden Lego that works really well with a few modifications.
