This and this is what I use for console mode. This setup will let you charge and use Ethernet at the same time.

I bought this one. I use it to plug my Portable into an ethernet adapter and power while in console mode and it works fine for that, so I assume it would work for a 360 adapter.

The one gotcha is that you have to plug everything into the OTG cable and then plug the OTG cable into the Shield, or the Shield doesn't recognize it, but that may be common to all OTG cables.

I've got mine working.

And if you don't have it, any ethernet cable.

Plug in the power cable to the female MicroUSB port on the splitter. Plug the microusb cable part of the splitter into the Chromecast. Plug the Ethernet to USB converter into the USb port on the splitter. Plug in both sides of the ethernet cable. Give it a minute. It should find the connection.

I've got mine working in Burge right now.

Yes, a simple otg cable with a splitter. I just tried it, it works.

I don't have the exact product link but it looks something like this

Just make sure that the female micro usb port (where power comes from) is powering the host device (male micro usb), not just the attached slave device (regular usb female port), there are 2 types.

I bought this one a couple years ago, but it doesn't have prime shipping anymore. There are some with prime that should be about the same. I bought a few since cheap OTG cables aren't usually very durable.

Some devices won't charge at all like this, which is where the bad reviews come from. If you don't mind a little kernel hacking you can use this as a reference to add support to your kernel.

I also had some hit or miss issues with what order things were connected, some orders wouldn't charge or said it was charging while losing battery. I had best luck with plugging power to the OTG splitter, then splitter to the device, and then hub to the splitter.
