Just my opinion, I am no expert, but these seem like the best choices as they are popular, and consideration how much work it would take to design them.
Also check the most popular on Amazon, Newegg and PC part picker.

CPUs from one socket look almost the same right?
So a LGA 1151 and AM3+ CPUs.

For RAM, classic PCB with black chips, maybe another one with a very simple heatspreader in different colors, as it would take quite a lot of work to create realistic heatspreaders for little benefit IMO.

Any HDD, they all look similar.

For SSDs, Samsung are the most popular and very simple to do.

Three most popular CPU coolers prolly are CRYORIG H7, Hyper 212 EVO, and Corsair H100i, maybe with addition of a single fan AIO like Corsair H55.

GPUs are tougher:

u/lazyintel · 5 pointsr/hardware

Oof that's painful. It's not quite so bad here:

https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GeForce-Graphics-GV-N1070G1-GAMING-8GD/dp/B01H0WU884/

$429 ships next week. There are better deals if you're patient. If the Vega56 is even slightly good at mining, they'll never see $400 anyway.

But the Vega64 is between the 1070 and 1080, so I don't think the 56 will be as well... There is no universe where third party benchmarks show Vega64 to be better than their own numbers... and a well OC'd 1070 is nipping the heels of the vanilla 1080 they compared Vega64 to. I expect a well OC'd AIB 1070 to be as fast as stock Vega in most games, excluding Ashes, Doom, etc.

Hi,

I'm looking at making a good 1920x1080 144hz setup. I've looked at the GPU I want, and the monitor that I want for it. It's a GTX 1070 and an ACER GN246HL monitor.

Monitor

GPU

So I'm asking: Does the dual-link DVI-D cable come with the monitor or GPU? From reading the descriptions, I don't know if it does or not. I want to know this before I start buying parts for my convenience. Would I need to buy it separately? Sorry if this is obvious.

Thanks.

u/Homerguys1 · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

$280 seems on the high end for a 1060. You can get 1070s around $350, they often come on /r/buildapcsales https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H0WU884?ref_=twister_B01IUWTLCW&psc=1&pldnSite=1

Otherwise pretty good build. Will be good for gaming.

u/PoweredByPancakes · 2 pointsr/buildapc

Here's the listing, but it says on the warehouse deals FAQ that products don't generally come with manufacturers warranty. So I guess that answered my question.

u/Corm · 2 pointsr/oculus

Just get the default 1070

Just don't buy EVGA. They keep burning up.

EDIT wrong, forget this

u/nerdthatlift · 2 pointsr/buildapc

I would say get the 1080. Ironically, Gigabyte GTX 1080 is cheaper than 1070 on Amazon right now.

u/XenSide · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

Considering you could get a [1070] (https://www.amazon.ca/Gigabyte-GeForce-Graphics-GV-N1070G1-GAMING-8GD/dp/B01H0WU884/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1482903670&sr=8-2&keywords=1070) for 530 dollars, if you just don't love AMD, I don't think that was a so good deal

Pre-order is up on Amazon for this card as of this posting. $429 + applicable taxes:

ZOTAC AMP edition and PNY FE also available for pre-order, US Amazon.

u/firepixel · 2 pointsr/nvidia

Gigabyte 1070 G1 Gaming pre-order currently available on Amazon in case you want to play it safe, I plan on canceling Amazon order if I score one from NewEgg later tonight. Amazon doesn't charge until they ship so it's zero-risk.

I got my data with 2 sample points over some months, using my own script to parse and store the data (im a developer). Also you can use pages like camelcamelcamel , although the low volume on the used market in amazon skews the data.

Here you got one graph

EVGA 500W Non Modular PSU $36

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 G1 $409.99

MSI Z170A-Pro $107

Vengeance LPX 8GB DDR4 DRAM 2400MHz $45

i5 6600K $235.99

TP-Link AC600 Wireless High Gain Dual Band USB Adapter $24.99

Thats a total of: $859. That still leaves you with some room for your case and a hard drive or a solid state drive. If you have Prime, you'll get everything in two days for free (Student Prime, Trial). Dont forget the CPU FAN! Coolmaster has the 212 for $27 or so!

EDIT: I had posted it as a comment to your post again instead of as a comment to you reply, but I fixed it hopefully before people saw it!

You're not going to see significant discounts on these cards for a long time with them still in demand. The Evga and Gigabyte version are on the low end of their pricing right now though.

I don't think I've seen the Gigabyte version as low as it is right now, and if you don't use prime you can get it for $528 (521.44+6.41)

I really like my Asus Strix OC but I've heard good things about the Gigabyte and Gigabyte xtreme gaming

Performance won't be that much different, just go with what has good reviews, good cooling and a good warranty. Also considering your preference in looks and price.

Edit: Getting and SSD is definitely worth it for boot times alone. You can get a 120gb which is more than enough for your OS for cheap. There was a 32gb on Newegg for $20 last week, which I believe is big enough for windows but I'm not 100% sure.

The best performing card for the best price is the gigabyte G1 gaming. Because they test their GPU and put the most overclockable ones in the G1 series

What's the difference between video card "editions"?

I'm new to all this and I'm looking at the GeForce GTX 1070 and it has multiple versions/edtions. What's the difference between them?

Windforce, G1 Gaming, and G1 Rock side-by-side comparison(?) Do the 40 MHz differences between each version make a big difference?

Founders, G1 Gaming, G1 Rock, Windforce, Xtreme (Amazon page)

NewEgg Page

I'm assuming I wouldn't want the Windforce edition since it has only 2 fans. What specs should I be looking at when comparing or shopping for video cards?

u/uberstar100 · 1 pointr/graphicscard

Easy! Get yourself a GTX 1070 (Any company is fine, except for EVGA) If you are going to game on new titles.
Unless you play MOBAS and FPS such as CS:GO, then go for a GTX 1060 or the 1050 TI.

Here, i'll give you links to the graphic cards mentioned above
1050 TI
1060
1070

Now unfortonatley, you are going to have to higher your budget for the 1070 if you really do some hardcore game. But for you, since you only do game, I recommend the 1060.

u/Morgsz · 1 pointr/buildapc

Sweet thanks for the tip on the memory.

Also thanks for the tip on the cooler. Will do.

I chose the other SSD as i did not recognize the brand of the other and i don't really know how to compare them.

I went over on the power supply because that does not seem like the thing to cheep out on.

I struggle to choose because i go to newegg and find

I don't know if this is comparable.

Looking to upgrade my PC before Cyberpunk 2077 gets released. Been all over the place in terms of deciding what I want to do, would like to do a "single" upgrade, and I want to make the biggest bang-for-buck impact I can before the game comes out in April.

I have the classic Dell 144Hz 1440p Gsync monitor. https://www.dell.com/en-ca/shop/dell-27-gaming-monitor-s2716dg/apd/210-agjr/monitors-monitor-accessories

I currently have a Gigabyte 1070 (Not Ti) https://www.amazon.ca/Gigabyte-GeForce-Graphics-GV-N1070G1-GAMING-8GD/dp/B01H0WU884

Currently rocking an i5-4690K (Not-overclocked, and when I tried I found I couldn't make a huge improvement in performance before running into issues (but maybe I just have no idea what I'm doing))

So given that, I would like to either replace the cpu/mobo/ram or the video card. I know combo deals often happen on Black Friday for cpu/mobo/ram, so that's partly why I'm asking now.

I'm currently heavily leaning towards one of the lower priced 2070 Supers (https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/88drxr/evga-geforce-rtx-2070-super-8-gb-black-gaming-video-card-08g-p4-3071-kr) but also will be crossing my fingers that black friday/cyber monday have discounts on them (Or a separate 2070S). I doubt that'll happen though.

And as an aside, any reason to go to brick & mortar locations on Black Friday? I have the day off and am close to a Canada Computers, but I suspect it's generally better to just shop online.

u/Not_enough_yuri · 1 pointr/buildapc

It isn't on your list, but I think this is the best GTX 1070 for under $400 (or equal to $400 I guess). It's the next Gigabyte card up from the one you listed. It comes with a better cooler and a higher base clock speed. If you don't want to spend the money, get the Windforce OC.

u/Synthisis_ · 1 pointr/CanadianHardwareSwap

I live south of Montreal in the countryside but if your willing to pay in cash i don't mind driving my untouched Gigabyte G1 gaming gtx 1070.

at the time of writing this it's over $700 on amazon (https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01H0WU884/?tag=pcp0f-20) but all i'll ask for is a flexible $550

PIC: https://imgur.com/mtM5TsV (its a month old picture from last time i tried to sell it but the fact Im willing to drive it over and give it to you in person should prove authenticity)

u/bvl79 · 1 pointr/anno

It's a Gigabyte GTX1070. I got it about three years ago, so it's about time for an upgrade. It does start to stutter a bit on larger islands.

u/perfect_disguise · 1 pointr/buildapc
u/pizzapede · 1 pointr/gaming

I've got this as my middle monitor, and this 1070. Monitor's pretty bright until you mess with the settings, but it's a pretty decent panel, especially for under $200. There's definitely cheaper 1070s out there. Between the two, I'm well over 100fps on the grand majority of games I'm playing on ultra.

u/BMendez0415 · 1 pointr/CabaloftheBuildsmiths

I think I'll have my parents help me out with this GPU and I'll pay for the rest. What do you think?

u/Fithy · 1 pointr/Amd

From the prices I've seen, the US is much cheaper. There are some times even crazy discounts that we never get. But here's a random 1070 8GB in the US for $317: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H0WU884

u/Savannix · 1 pointr/buildapc

I wouldn't recommend SLI at all. I would say go with a 1070 In my opinion, I recommend the 1070 Gaming G1

After you're ready for another upgrade, I recommend moving over to the 1080ti

u/_twllsted_ · 1 pointr/buildapc

So I could buy any of these and get similar results?

ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Turbo Edition

MSI GAMING GeForce GTX 1070 8GB!

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming

ASUS GeForce 8GB Dual-Fan OC Edition

ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1070 AMP! Edition

EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 FTW

If theres not much of a difference should I just buy the easiest to cool, best ratings, or lowest price?

u/anonimescu · 1 pointr/buildapc

Found a Gigabyte G1 1070 for 429$ sold directly by Amazon ,not 3rd party vendors. Idk is the price is good or not,the Founder edition stuff but me all mixed up,but it's good that theaftermarket stock is starting to trickle in https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H0WU884/ref=as_li_ss_tl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=355JNZD4JTBKE&coliid=IYJTWJPIKXVSK&linkCode=sl1&tag=heratus-20&linkId=29f9a1055b68002940d271483d7ea6c8

Yes that would also be just fine for the SLI setup.

ill think about it. i have this 1070, but $350 is high for me on a used one.

Even if it doesnt overclock for a big difference it will atleast be quiter and cooler, right?

u/Gruchak · 1 pointr/Monitors

Okay, I thought as much. But, if I plopped down on this and I have 16Gb of RAM...will that be okay?

u/CaesiaVulpes · 1 pointr/buildapc

Let this website adjust your mindset of what to expect from your price range. (Notice they recommend buying two of that same GPU for your price range.) Of course some can do much better and others worse.

If this rig is primarily for gaming, and you're spending that much, you can probably do better in the GPU dep.

On that note, PC part picker is awesome, but not infalible. With a little bit of research it looks like NewEgg and Amazon are priced more reasonably.

In the end, I think you could have a ridiculous rig with your budget. Just be sure to spend your money in the right areas.

u/nappmonster544 · 1 pointr/buildapc

The prices you listed are fine, I just wanted to spend around 1000$ on an upgrade. Also, before I posted this question I attempted to do some research on my own to see if I was capable enough to buy my own parts(unfortunately no). I was looking at the gtx graphics cards, but the problem I ran across was that I couldn't differentiate between some of the cards I looked at, for example, I don't know what the differences are between these 3 companies and their card variations. Like, what is the difference between MSI, Nvidia, Gigbyte, and the little variations like founders vs windforce etc.

Bruh please stop. Go and fucking read the terms and condition of each GPU brand lel. I posted that link because it was quite straight forward and I thought atleast some simple post will help you understand lol. But you are far in your arse and beyond redemption. The person you are quoting is lying lol.

Just visit their site lol or heck ask anyone else here. None of the other brands provide international warranty except Evga.

Scroll down below and read that warranty part:-
