What a great idea! My husband and I used these for attaching our home made save the date magnets to card stock, and they were a lifesaver! They are circles made of the same stuff they use to stick your credit cards to paper in the mail. I think you would be able to use them for your project! I got mine at Joann, but they seem to have them in the craft section of many stores, and online.

We use hot glue, it's really not that messy. Just a dot on the bottom, hold in in place for a few seconds with a pen or whatever. I might try these at some point, cheaper than the candle science stickers by a lot. http://www.amazon.com/Glue-Dots-08248-Removable-Roll/dp/B00161UBTW
I got these from Amazon to stick the magnet to the card. Similar to the tack that’s used for the back of credit cards.

Not sure about the question. Do you want the leather to stick together to the other leather? - in which case any industrial strength glue (like Gorilla Glue or Permanent Glue would do). Or are you wondering what type of glue is used between the leather flap and the phone cover? - in which case, get a glue dot; a removable glue adhesive.
