My friend gave me shit because I bought a peanut butter mixer. He said Alton Brown would be disappointed. It was made for one thing, but it does it fucking well. No mess, and it basically cleans itself. It mixes natural PB so well, there is no need to refrigerate it, so it stays super spreadable.

I don't think it counts as a unitasker, though because it fits on wide mouth mason jars. I could mix salad dressing if I were so inclined, but fuck that. It's my PB mixer.

I found that keeping the jar upside down (lid facing down) for maybe a day or so help the mix back in with the peanut butter some. Also, simply pouring the oil out, mixing the peanut butter, adding some oil back, mixing and repeating works well too.

Or, you get something like this :D

They do make hand crank stirrers that work pretty well, but this looks more fun haha.

Laura Scudder's is good, had some on whole wheat toast for breakfast. Yummo.

Definitely look for something that is just peanuts and salt, even if you have to stir it a little more. Or just use one of these.

Invest in a peanut butter stirrer.

Bought one for my dad, who is very particular about his peanut butter, and he loves the thing.

We use a peanut butter mixer. It works reasonably well, much better than a knife or spoon. They have a couple different models of this thing depending on one's preferred brand (i.e. preferred jar).

I bought one of these a few years ago and I have been using it ever since. Makes stirring easy and mess-free.

There are commercial products like that as well - https://www.amazon.com/Grandpa-Witmers-Fashioned-Mess-Free-16-Ounce/dp/B000A3I3BA

I prefer just using a butter knife with a churning motion though, a little more effort but it's faster in my experience.

I got one of these peanut butter mixers and never looked back.

I try to get the peanut butters with the shortest ingredient list possible. I tend to buy smucker's or costco's organic (trader joe's occasionally) because they just contain salt and peanuts. I bought one of these. It fits the smuckers jar perfectly and helps keep everything homogenous. I wouldn't worry too much about the macros though, just keep the portion size down.

Invest in a peanut butter mixer! I got one for the larger jars of natural peanut butter I usually get and it makes stirring it so much easier, and makes it super creamy!
