The piano book is mostly about voicing chords in different styles. The theory book is more general, I personally think it's better to start there. It is quite dense though, and is more a reference than a method book. Something else to consider might be Mark Davis's books.
This book is fantastic, but a bit dense for beginners after the first chapter or two (source: am beginner, have book).
