Yup! Making it in the mixture. I make my own ice cream using this baby: https://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-Beach-68330N-Automatic-Ice-Cream/dp/B0009A0N4E/

Given the size and shape, maybe the top of an old, cheap ice cream maker?

I don't need double talk, I need alcohol.

IDK if you'll accept this, but can I not get an item and ask you to get this for l337chica? She's moving and she wants this for her new house. Between her job and moving, she has just been going crazy and I think this would be a great treat for her and her husband since they live down in Florida.

Can't help you with storage, but [this] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0009A0N4E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ziUACbNR3BFJ8) can be bought for $25. If you don't like it, just drop it off at a Goodwill. Making ice cream can be kind of fun, and if you stay away from those pre mixes and find a good recipe the ice cream can be a lot better than the stuff you get at the store. Don't count on saving money though, milk and cream tend to be more expensive (the shit you buy at store gets around this by pumping a lot of air into their mixture).

Medium Rare is what makes my world go round.

I'd treat /u/browneyedgirl79 to a great dinner to celebrate a new friendship. :)

I've only used a cheap Rival ice cream maker similar to this design. I've had it since the mid 90s and have never had any issues. I can't compare it to others and I'm sure it's not the best but it definitely does the job of making ice cream. I put the canister in the freezer about 30 minutes before I will need it so it can get cold. It only takes about this long for it to get as cold as it can.

It's not a complicated process and I think you could easily find yourself spending more than you need to if you're not careful. Also, as others have noted, do not substitute the fat source for a lower fat version. Your end product will suffer.

Our favorite recipe is for Chocolate Velvet Ice Cream. It makes 2-3 quarts:

• 1-1/3 cups white sugar

• 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

• 6 egg yolks, beaten

• 5-1/3 cups heavy cream

• 2/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips

In large bowl, stir together sugar and cocoa. Add egg yolks and blend with electric mixer. Add cream a little at a time, beating well after each addition. Chill mixture in refrigerator.

While cream mixture is chilling, grate chocolate chips in food processor or a rotary grater, until fine. Stir into cream mixture. Freeze in canister of ice cream maker according to manufacturer's instructions.

I don't get it. Why the fuck are you people buying store-bought fake ice cream?

Real homemade ice cream isn't that hard to make.

Get yourself one of these, put some fucking cream in it. Toss in some fresh fruit. BAM.

Real ice cream. And it's electric. You don't have to do shit.

Here, an 11-year-old kid makes real ice cream with nothing more than 2 zip-lock bags.
