tua vizinha tem um canil/criadouro ilegal se eu entendi corretamente, afinal muito provavelmente é um condomínio residencial. Mete um processinho nela.

E compra um fone de ouvido como o bose qc ou ear plugs

not in our lifetime. absolutely hate it when there is marriage in neighborhood & the yearly festivals that entail playing music till midnight. Invest in good ear plugs.

absolute best earplugs I've tried

hearos xtreme protection

put the hearos xtreme protection in and then put these earmuffs on

absolute best earmuffs I've tried

http://www.amazon.com/3M-Peltor-H10A-Optime-Earmuff/dp/B00009LI4K/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1421139881&sr=8-4&keywords=peltor

it will be total silence

I sleep with just the earplugs in.

if I'm up and reading and want total silence I put the earplugs in and then put the earmuffs over, these earmuffs are extremely comfortable, also you put headphones (earbuds) (for music and movies) on and put the earmuffs over. I can't say enough great things about these earmuffs.

Like someone else said on here your neighbors, landlord, and the cops just don't care. Moving is the only option.
Best advice is to move and never move back into apartments again.

If it gets to be really bad, there are always earplugs. Some people can't tolerate sleeping with earplugs, but it's worth a shot. The ones I use are Hearos Xtreme Protection - https://www.amazon.com/Protection-Cancelling-Disposable-Earplugs-Hearing/dp/B000NP79YM/.

For me, it's not train noises, but the creaky floors from above. If somebody gets out of bed upstairs, the floor creaks loudly - I've jumped out of bed, thinking someone was in my room. It doesn't eliminate all sound, just quiets it and makes it sound far away.

Would you be able to study or do your class work at the library? I feel like whenever I go into the library my brain forces me to study as opposed to being home and getting distracted by a million things. If not then you can also get these ear plugs, I use them whenever I have to study at home. They work really well and are comfortable. So I was going through exactly what you went through, I could read five pages and then think "what did I just read?" It felt more like I was browsing than reading.

What I do is look up videos on Youtube about whatever it is I'm learning and go from there. It usually gets me more motivated to learn as opposed to just reading on my own. You could also break down each page but it's very time consuming but it really does work. Just read each page and write a little summary in your own words about what the page was about. You could even do a summary every new section (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc). Also you should be doing the Pomodoro Technique. I feel like that's crucial for people with ADHD.

If they are the kind with the rubber rim that completely block the ear canal, they will help some. Ordinary plastic ear buds won't help.

What you really want are foam ear plugs like these.

Those little badboys are lifesavers for people who need to block out noise to sleep. You'll hear nothing and be out like a light if you're tired. The ones above are much better than other brands I've tried. I just recently bought 100 pair. ha

I like these earplugs, I use them for shooting and sleeping:

Hearos Ear Plugs - Xtreme Protection Series

If that isn't enough, you could go for white noise. https://simplynoise.com/

You get used to it after a while.

I literally cannot shoot a .22lr without earpro, just the same as I can't shoot .338 Lapua without earpro...even with a suppressor.

I don't care if I lose tough points or if you have to yell at the top of your lungs to ask if I want a sandwich because I'm protecting my hearing. I know too many "no need for plug" shooters in their 40s to 70s who now can't hear shit over the deafening tinnitus they experience 24/7, 365 days a year...even in their sleep.

For general use I have surefire EPs in various ratings and they're OK, but mostly convenient. For my ears, I found that Hearo Xtremes, are the best at reducing perceived DB levels (way more than the surefire EP7s). They're cheap too.

I used the Howard Leight electronic muffs, but I usually shoot with glasses so there was a lot of sound leakage and pinching of my temples.

I used this variety all throughout college. Yeah, they're great. That's all there is to say, really, you don't really feel them even putting them really deep, which you should.

I love these guys: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000NP79YM/

And yes, I can still hear my alarm no problem. I just check to be sure the volume is set to 60% + (my phone is my alarm).

you'll get more protection for less money with these

Oh god I'm at like a [8] and I was reading this and as soon as I got to the bit about the girl swearing and being really loud I immediately panicked and was like "GOD WHAT IF IT WAS ME" because I tend to curse at high decibels, even though I haven't been on a college campus in 2 years and it certainly could not have been.
In that split second I felt terrible!

Seriously though man, invest in some half decent earplugs. I can't fall asleep in headphones, these things are a life saver. Get shtoned and sleepy in peace!

u/MapleBlood · 1 pointr/MotoUK

Exactly these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hearos-Ear-Plugs-Xtreme-Protection/dp/B000NP79YM - not sure if very good, but good enough. I have no problem hearing cars or sirens, but most of the wind noise is cut off.

Thanks for that thread, though, I've got last couple of pairs left:)

u/eyeffensive · 1 pointr/shutupandtakemymoney

Saw these on Uncrate, was very unimpressed. 11dB reduction is crap. Hearos earplugs are cheaper and have 33dB reduction: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000NP79YM

The only solution? Or these...
