Thanks, those look nice!

Also looking at these, which aren't specifically cycling gloves, but might hold up better in Chicago fall weather: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B004NWLALE/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

I personally bought [these](Heritage Extreme Winter Glove, Black, Size 9 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004NWLALE/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_DLBFwbK1GX762)

I've worn them through light commuting last winter, and only experienced as low as 12(F), at the high 20's in active snow they were almost too warm. I consider that success.

Considering the reviews include a commentator from alaska reporting good short term usage in -40 (F), I think they'll suffice.

I grabbed these last year and was rather impressed.

Pros: Extremely Warm and Dry (Used them for winter cycling)

Cons: No cellphone.
