I would also like to know how he can explain this tweet where he accused astronomer David Weintraub of being a creationist and "posing as a scientist" (his words, not mine) for pointing out that if there is life on Mars, there are ethical questions surrounding colonizing it.

While I strongly support Zubrin's work with the Mars Society, he's accusing a respected author, astronomer, and professor, of being a creationist apparently for asking questions which might hinder Zubrin's goal of colonizing Mars. I can only conclude that:

• Zubrin linked the wrong article
  
• Zubrin linked the right article and didn't read it
  
• Zubrin linked the right article, read it, and is so zealous that anything which threatens his dream must be attacked
