I could talk about theory all day. It's a little harder to do it on the computer versus having a piano in front of us!

I don't know if you play jazz at all, but this book is an incredible practice resource. Also, do you know all your major and minor scales?

You need a good foundation before you start to learn jazz on the trumpet. Someone has created lesson plans around this book https://www.trumpetherald.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=32146. I highly recommend lessons. Trumpet is a very physical instrument so you can spend weeks on how you should position your mouth, breathing, etc. before you even start playing it properly.
