Any particular reason you need an i7? Also, wouldn't a desktop with an i7 be better for solely home use?
Anyway, I've got an i5 Hauwei Matebook X coming in tomorrow to replace the MacBook Pro I'll be returning (even though I mostly love the MacBook). They have an i7 model that's sitting right around $1000 right now.
