I haven't read all of it so I don't think I can but from my understanding it is saying that God exists in a "cloud of unknowing" such as God exists beyond our perception and ability to perceive. But we can know God through redirecting the love that God directs to us back to Him. As in doing so, that love will become a dart that will "pierce the Cloud of Unknowing" which in turn will allow us to know God.

I was just reading something from this short book from a Greek monk at the Holy Mountain that you would find helpful.

I can make a post later if you want but you might find this book to help you understand that book, although the Cloud of Unknowing is an anonymous medieval English text, or so, and I don't know if it is fully orthodox or not.
