I haven’t used paper towels in about a decade. I keep some around for some things, but the last roll I bought lasted me 4 years.

Here’s what my kitchen linens include:

This is what I store them in the bathroom. Keeps mold from forming.

We use these for napkins, paper towels, everyday placemats and for cleaning dishes.

Hope that helps.

First of all, it's amazing to find a community that knows my struggles. A little background, I am the dishwasher at a massive buffet that seats over a thousand people. Yes, I said "the", because no one else can really handle it, the pansies. I can post some pictures, but I'm on mobile and right now I'm getting tired of typing this. Anyway, that little guy in my picture is a dish-rag-thingy I got from amazon, like $5 for 3. It's got holes so that food doesn't get caught, and it doesn't turn into a dirty sopping mess like regular dish rags. I've had three for several months and put them through serious dish hell, and they're like new every night. Just send them through on one last rack when you're done, ayyy you don't have to blow through steel scrubbies every week. Really, they scrub just under the level of steel scrubbies, so keep those around for the tough stuff, and you'll start to see that those boxes of scrubbies pile up, and you don't waste all that precious time picking out food from them. They also don't cut your hands, which seems like a self explanatory benefit. They're a serious contribution to my dish game, and I highly, highly, suggest them.

Net cloths - they dry quicker than sponges and therefore smell less.
