I5 8400 is $179

Ryzen 2600x is $229

Yet the i5 8400 is faster?

Dupa niste probleme cu Emag am trecut pe extern:

https://www.amazon.de/Intel-Core-i5-8400-80GHz-Boxed/dp/B0759FGJ3Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1541602892&sr=8-1&keywords=Intel+Coffee+Lake%2C+Core+i5+8400+2.80GHz

nu intotdeauna sunt preturile mai mici, dar... am vazut ca

  1. gasesti ultimele aparitii(scumpe ca de)

  2. produse mai vechi cu 20% macar mai ieftine

this isn't a deal, it's been this price on amazon most of the summer https://camelcamelcamel.com/Intel-i5-8400-Desktop-Processor-Cores/product/B0759FGJ3Q?context=search

prices seem to be getting higher, probably due to supply and that 9th gen is rolling out this month.

i3 8350k 4/4 is a stupid buy for 2018, should go for the i5 8400 ($179) or AMD's 1600 anyway.

Might be, though really, you're just stuck replacing the motherboard, CPU, and RAM. Replacing just the motherboard on your old system looks like it'll cost you ~$400.

You can get an MSI Z370-A Pro ($145), Core i5-8400 ($240), and 16GB DDR4-2666 ($240) for just $625, which would run about 20% faster than your current CPU.

This is the pricier, but better option for GPU.

This is the cheaper, but worse option for GPU.

Hope this helps!

Thanks man! If i adjusted my budget, how would this look without the monitor?

i5 8400

WD Blue 1 tb HD

250 GB SSD

Bronze 520W PSU

16 GB RAM

Beautiful case you reccomended

Z30 MOBO

Puts me at about 700, and I think I can maybe be patient and snag a 1060 from Nvidia (buying one as soon as they have one in stock for $300), and would those parts work?

Would I be missing anything other than a monitor? Would it run well and achieve 80 ish fps on PUBG?

go with the 9600k or 8400 if they're compatible

You guys are really changing my mind, the i5 8400 and the Ryzen 5 2600X are at the same price. What do you think should I go for it? In that case I need to choose a different motherboard right?

Hours into researching how PCIe lanes work and am still confused.

Want to buy a Gigabyte B360M D3H, and pair with a Intel i5-8400. I'll have a 16x graphics card attached in the 16x PCIe slot, but I also want to use the M.2 slot to use a Samsung 970 EVO NVMe SSD (4x lanes).

Will I be able to operate both the graphics card and the SSD at the same time? Will they both work at full capacity at the same time?

Thanks!

Compare it to the intel i5 8400, which is $257.99 on Amazon, the Ryzen is: -16.1% cheaper,+16.4% faster in multi-threaded albeit -14.1% slower in single threaded. Trying to find a closer price comparison the i3-8350k is $225, and the Ryzen is 46% faster in multithreaded.

i can't find a 350 series, how do you feel about this 360? also, is this the correct cpu?

u/traethunder · 0 pointsr/buildapc

The Cpu im getting is the i5-8400 coffee lake. Its really goo price to performance ratio. Only backdraw is that its hard to get ahokd of. Recommend getting the cpu first and get an auto notify from either newegg or amazon(or both) and wait patiently for i believe Nov17th till more get in stock.

These are 5 year old processors. You need to go with something more modern. They each also DO NOT use the same socket type. It's not even close to being the same.

Do you have an existing setup you are trying to upgrade? Or is this a brand new system? Never use 5 year old components for a brand new system.

The i5 8400 is the most recent, budget friendly i5.

The XEON W-2125 and E-1225 are at least in the same cosmic realm, although slated for servers. Which you are NOT building. Don't use Xeons unless you need them. Adds a lot of needless cost and complexity.
