2A 5V output. Lots of charge.
Here is a battery just a tad bit bigger than the Pi itself, it accepts 5v in with micro USB and outputs 5v at 2a with one USB and 5v at 1a with another USB.
instead of paying $$$ more for a phone with "battery life", you could buy a battery pack thingy

it can charge my phone about 3.5 full charges
there's a chart below, it says this version can charge iphone 6 3.8 times
Most people recommend Anker, and they are awesome, but I like the precision of the one I have, telling me the exact percentage charge it has left...

I have this solar panel. I use it to charge this power bank and this power bank. I then use the power banks in conjunction with this USB 18650 charger.
I got this setup for exactly the same type of situation you're asking about and it works a treat.
Yep. and something like this:

for battery. Maybe an OTG adapter so she can use usb devices like thumb drives, or an SD reader from her camera.
I use this one for hikes. The 2.1 amp output slot fully charges the Crafty in about the same time as plugging into the wall and I get 4.5 charges out of it. The light on the battery pack is useful to help you fill your bowl in the dim light of the woods too. (edit: grammar)
I play with my PS4 controller plugged into this External Battery Bank sometimes.

It isn't even in stock until December 24th. Should I cancel the order and go for this? What is the benefit of having the OnePlus powerbank over this?
19 hours without power...didn't get below 54 in the house..not bad. EVERY person on my block assured me this was highly unusual. I must have jinxed us. Learning my lessons as I go.
I regretted replacing the leaky old gas kitchen stove. meaning i had no serious way to make fire. I ended up putting a candle in a perforated spoon holder from ikea to make tea. and ordered a small stove Esbit Lightweight Camping Stove for Use with Solid Fuel Tablets as long as i can cook tea and ramen i can deal with nearly anything.
I immediately topped off my iphone and kindle with the laptop, and eventually used the small battery charger to recharge the iphone, though i could always charge both in the truck. I order a new battery pack charger that does everything Intocircuit® 11200mAh Power Castle Heavy Duty 5V 2A/1A Dual USB Ports External Battery Pack Charger I really don't think that eton crank radio charges iphones very well.
For the rest of the season i have my eye on a little propane heater.
Satechi is 10000 mAh, and for $47.99 on Massdrop. It would fit snugly in a pocket in my backpack.
Intocircuit is 11200 mAh and only $26.99, yet it won't fit into the pocket in my bag. This could easily go in the main compartment of my bag, but there's already a couple things there.
Which should I buy?
http://www.amazon.com/Intocircuit-11200mAh-Portable-Technology-Smartphones/dp/B00BB5GR0A buy one (or at this price even two) of these. I used it at coachella last year in combination with their charging stations and it lasted me two days. and I just recharged it out on the field when it finally died. the thing is a tank, has an LED screen and a flashlight, has two charging ports, and I'll probably get another one for my girlfriend this year.
My roomie just bought this. Charges your phone / device several times. Would highly recommend. Cheap too!
Hi Wendi, congrats with the baby!
I got this a few months back. I got it in silver but as of now it is out of stock on amazon. Works great, comes with a short mini usb cable but works with the Samsung cable too. Doesn't have waterproof but looks kinda rugged and has a LED light with it. (not as powerful as the flashlight in the phone but a good dimmer more direct light, like a mini flashlight would be) There is also a 15000mAh version for $10 more which might be good for your needs. I think they say the 11500 version can charge the phone 2-3 times with one charge. I haven't tested that but I can believe it from my experience.
Hope this helps!
