Loading pin for better dip belt loading
(Placeholder in case my thread gets buried, will delete otherwise)
I was wondering if it's worth buying a loading pin for these quality of life improvements for dip belt exercises. I haven't tried them yet.
Backpack/weighted vest are often suggested instead, but might cost $100+ for sufficient weight/sturdiness to carry such weight (say 100lb+)
Weighted pushups
Weighted inverted rows
Weighted dips/pullups
I ordered this one, since I had a bunch of 1"-hole plates already:

I'm 6'1", and I usually get the weights 5-6" off the ground on the pinch. 10" should be fine.
I bought a loading pin off amazon http://www.amazon.com/12-Loading-Pin-Snap-Clip/dp/B005O2Z8PG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1426105096&sr=8-1&keywords=loading+pin
A bit expensive for what it is, but there are some DIYs out there as well if you want to make one cheap. You can also just pass a chain through the center of a few plates, but that can be a problem when you have 5 or 6 plates.
Definitely loading pin is the easiest approach. I use https://www.amazon.com/12-Loading-Pin-Snap-Clip/dp/B005O2Z8PG
but there are cheaper options out there.
You can also girth hitch.
