Isopure vanilla the 7.5 pound jug on amazon is $83. In my opinion this is the best for overall taste and quality at $11 a pound I’m comfortable with the price.

I use this stuff(CreamyVanilla). 7.5lbs is the best value, and contains 55 servings (each serving = 2 scoops = 50g protein 210cal, and a whole mess of vitamins), but starting out you'd probably want to get 1lb (you might hate it). I've found it locally, but they tend to carry it in 3lb jugs only.

It also mixes really easily. None of this fighting to break the lumps up BS. Nope, you dump it in, spoon it around for a few seconds, and you're done.

I don't know if it was a fluke or not, but the first time I mixed it, I drank it immediately, and it was....not good. Was like drinking cloudy salt water. However, now I mix up the shake first, set it aside, scramble up some eggs, eat the eggs, THEN (after ~20 minutes have elapsed?) drink the shake. Haven't had that reaction since.

I use Isopure Zero Carb. 2 shakes a day is 100g of protein and only 400 calories. Any other protein you have from eating should be enough to hit your requirements. Other than that just eat whatever gives you energy and try to stay low carb. Focus on lifting more than cardio.
