  1. Dash CAM, front and back

  2. A nice hammerless revolver or any of a number of other subcompact pistols if you prefer semi-auto.

  3. You have a little one, so get a good pistol safe

  4. Take a GOOD gun training class and get some range time. Then get your LTC. From that point forward, hit the range once a month and put a box of shells through it to stay tuned up, and take the gun training class once every couple of years to stay up-to-date on the law.

    I'm sorry if this sounds extreme, but you have a family to protect. Involve law enforcement by all means when appropriate, but you need protection up until they get there. There are some SERIOUS nut jobs out there, as the recent facebook murderer demonstrates all too well.

I just ordered a camera yesterday and it’ll be here Thursday. Reviews were good and it has a fair amount of features for the price, if you want once I get it installed and set up I can reply with how I like it.

I got this front and rear one for $150. It has never given me any problems. Both pictures are clear. Easy to wire up. The cord for the rear cam is insanely long so it's very easy to hook up and hide. I have a crew cab truck and it's wired all around the roof of the truck to hide the wiring and still has like 6 feet of slack.
