Is the ONE4ALL durable and buff-proof? Yes- it's fairly durable and buff-proof, depending on what you are writing on. It's good paint, I've only noticed problems painting on slick plastic- and even that wasn't too bad. Is it the best, most economical choice for you? Hard to say.. The £2 bottles are probably the 30ml ones. With a mop you could blow through that in a hurry.

True, you can make your own by buying a pack of ballpoint pens, removing the innards, soaking them in alcohol, and voila- you've made your own ink! Sorta. Also, it takes a long amount of time, you're still spending money on pens and alcohol, you waste a bunch of plastic, and the results are sub-par. You've got to consider: what's your time worth? Even if you're panhandling, the amount of time you spend fucking around with this stuff you would have earned more than enough money to simply buy yourself a big bottle of arguably the best shit: Molotow Coversall or Speedflow. It writes on anything, really good flow, and after it dries it's really hard to remove. It's almost like, it was designed for bombing or something...

If you want to be cheap, and you want to shop at pound/dollar stores, my other recommendation would be to look into India ink that is used for Japanese Sumi-e painting. I picked up a 180ml bottle for a couple bucks at a Daiso here in the states. If you have Japanese discount stores in your area that might be worth a try. Here's an Amazon link to the type that I purchased (more money than I paid, but still pretty cheap):
