Elimination diet would be a good thing to try.

White rice, watery fruits (no bananas & dates), cheese, romaine lettuce, curry powder, and avocados are the main things I've found to be safe. Apple juice fasting also helps me a ton. Olive oil had significant effects as well.

Iron can feed pathogens, so try avoiding foods with it.

Yes, here is the probiotic I was taking that I suspect is the issue and here is the yeast based one that I don't think is the culprit as I'd been taking it for a while before starting the aforementioned one. I started taking these supplements to kind of re-balance my system as I also was taking Sovereign Silver daily to help with acid reflux and possible SIBO... I REALLY regret doing any of this right now. Was a bit too cavalier about my microbiome.

Here is another site with some info from the University of Washington on Boric Acid supplements. I use them about 2x a week to keep YIs at bay. My doctor also just recommended taking a Saccharomyces Boulardii supplement. Basically the Saccaromyces Boulardii are a different type of yeast that "compete" for resources with the type of yeast that cause YIs, and therefore make it harder for the bad yeast to grow out of control.

Not the generic ones that you will find over the counter in the market, but medical grade probiotics; specifically, VSL#3 which has 400,000,000,000 bacteria per sachet. I have tried so many supplements, probiotics, digestive enzymes and prescription medications that it's ridiculous. Lomotil helps a tad but not enough, and it's not something I want to take every day. But then someone on here suggested Saccharomyces Boulardii (I take this one http://www.amazon.com/Jarrow-Formulas-Sacharomyces-Boulardii-Capsules/dp/B0013OVW0E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1426438763&sr=8-1&keywords=saccharomyces+boulardii) and it has made a world of difference. Thank you, whoever you were, for the suggestion. Finally I can keep food inside me long enough for it to do some good.

I’m currently taking this probiotic and it’s reviews are incredible for people with IBS/UC. I have issues with inflammation and fistulas and have noticed a difference when taking this. I definitely recommend researching and trying it.

That's great. Glad the prebiotics are helping you. I looked into probiotics and used them as well, and for some reason, Saccharomyces Boulardii seems to be different than the rest. Kind of like the Michael Jordan of strains. Also, I noticed that it's not usually included in most multiple probiotics. The reason I brought it up to you is because I see lots of people with SIBO saying, it's gone!!! and if you see anyone talking about stomach upset, it's usually ones that contain MOS giving upset. This is MOS and if you look at the 3rd paragraph you'll see it stated there.

I removed almost all carbs and processed foods from my diet, and it's honestly been the most important improvement to my mental health compared to anything else. Less brain fog, more motivation, more mental clarity, better sleep, etc.

I generally eat a lot of vegetables, coconut and avocado oil, eggs, lots of nuts and seeds, coconut water and chicken broth, variety of meat including fish, and berries (the least sugary fruits) and dark chocolate for treats. No gluten and very little dairy (fan of expensive cheese, not the cheap stuff).

What kind of probiotics would you recommend? I still have a week left of Bacillus coagulans, it hasn't been working for awhile so I was thinking of switching to S. boulardii + MOS. I also have Advanced Multi-Billion Dophilus.
