I'd suggest trying a body adhesive or some body/ fabric tape before doing any tailoring to your suit. With the way Ann's suit is tailored, and the type of fabric it is, I would make sewing it my last option.
I've also seen people recommend wearing a leotard underneath the suit so you don't sweat through it and it makes the suit more breathable, this'll also potentially help with the bunching up in the high waisted area of the suit.
Oh and one more thing. The neckline is supposed to sit similar to a boat neck. To keep the straps and the tulle part in place at the neckline I used this.
