When reading a book by John G Lake, it was as he was attracted more by God the more he was walking with God. e.g. as if he came closer to a magnet which was first a soft pull, but becoming stronger when coming closer.
Although his intent was to become an apostle like how the apostles in the bible walked, and many believers around him already told him he was so annointed because of his prayers for healing were often answered. He never saw himself as 'being there'. He found himself progressively becoming more and more engulved in Gods love and presence, hoping everyone would find the Joy in god as he did.
