Hi Ryveting.

Kettlebells can be sort of confusing to the casual observer, its very different than the traditional style of gym workouts where you target particular groups and instead focus on entire movements. While you can look up different things to try and how to to do them and see what works you are in luck. Experts have done a lot of the thinking for you and have turned years of their experience into a program that has the most to offer with the least effort put into it.

The most recommended on this forum and by myself personally is "Kettlebell: Simple and Sinister" by Pavel and the StrongFirst organization.

Its an inexpensive book and goes greatly in depth as to what you need to buy and what you need to focus on doing. While the program is simple and is friendly to people who are brand new to kettlebells and fitness in general it has a progression path which you can spend years working on.

The program is a minimalist program where you focus on two exercises that have an incredible carryover to everything else. I get more from these two drills than I used to get from an entire gym full of machines when I was a teenager.

For cardio + strength training: kettlebells. Turkish get-ups and swings, specifically. Simplest (but not easiest) program: Kettlebell Simple and Sinister

Kettlebell Swings

Per your request in another comment, it's not tedious and only takes a few minutes to have an effect. Swing a heavy bell for 10 reps every minute on the minute, it's just 10 minutes...too easy? Go for 100 straight unbroken, proper form and controlled breathing throughout

I recommend buying the book. Well worth the $13 IMO.

Sure thing! I have this book here: https://www.amazon.com/Kettlebell-Simple-Sinister-Pavel-Tsatsouline/dp/0989892409/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1498508302&sr=8-1&keywords=simple+and+sinister
To be honest, depending on the quality of your movements, you can probably make do without the book itself. The Kindle version is cheap enough I would get it, though.
