This is what I use with my 12" MacBook. Nevertheless, I only have one device, an external SSD, that needs to be on USB-C due to power requirements.
If you want a USB-C hub with no USB-A ports, I'm afraid that's not happening any time soon.

It has two USB C ports. One for charging and the other for connectivity. I use the second one with the USB C to 3.5mm adapter from Apple. Everything works great in this hub
Not that cheap , but ive been using Kinston Nucleum for awhile and its worked pretty well for me. No excessive overheating and super reliable so far.

You can have it hooked up and use headphones with a usb-c headphone adapter and plus in usb drives or memory cards too. Even had hdmi out. But like all hdmi out it won’t play drm stuff. But for the music creation it’s awesome. Can even charge your iPad while you do all that. I bought it a while ago and might be better solutions now but can confirm this works awesome.

Since the laptop has USB Type C ports, I use a USB Type C Hub which has an HDMI output to it. The HDMI cable goes to the monitor and the hub also has an extra Type C for charging. So the charging and the display output happens through just one cable. The Keyboard is Apple Magic Keyboard and the mouse is Logitech MX Master 2S

I've heard a lot of complaints saying it heats up a lot even when not charging anything, just by having it plugged in the laptop. Also some people say it interferes with the Wi-Fi connection when plugged in...
After a lot of research I've found out that Kingston Nucleum might the best choice, however it doesn't have an Ethernet Port... Oh why is it so hard to find a good USB C Hub ;(
