Lush🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️ Full of irritating fragrances and botanicals and not worth the price. CeraVe is a bomb-ass, cheap moisturizer that is non-irritating and full of awesome ingredients. Deff my #1 recommendation.

With moisturizing, I’ve found that the key in layering several different products. Like you, I have to deal with dry, eczema prone skin in the harsh New England winters. After cleansing my skin with a gentle, lotion-type cleanser (CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser) I layer on an Asian “toner” which is basically just a watery moisturizer. I really like Hada Labo’s Gokujyun Premium because it has Urea in it which is great at both moisturizing and gently dissolving dead skin. After layering this lotion on a few times, I slap on some CeraVe Cream (not the lotion, the heavy duty cream) and then, if it’s before bed, I top it off with an occlusive layer of CeraVe Healing Ointment. some people like to use Vaseline but CeraVe Healing Ointment has a bunch of good stuff in it that Vaseline lacks.

In addition to this layering method, you should also be getting rid of any dead skin buildup. Some people like to use acids (Alpha Hydroxy, for example) for this purpose but they can be irritating so I like to use a konjac sponge.

If you want to get into anti-aging stuff, work on getting yoir skin to a point where it’s properly hydrated first. After that, you can dive into the magical world of retinoids! Hope this helps. Big shout out to r/SkincareAddiction!

Reading the word "mold" literally made me cringe. I have sensitive skin!! Ahem. I mean, "my friend" has sensitive skin.

Joking aside, I did throw the sponge out once I remembered how old it was. I honestly felt a bit stupid for not thinking about that aspect in the first place, and I plan to pay close attention to how my skin is doing and reacting for the next few days.

I found this set on Amazon, that I am thinking of ordering as replacements: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JPZV5D3/?coliid=IZZ67YLRX60FH&colid=1KVAR5CRQDS79&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1
