I have one of these on my .22 and it's satisfactory. Don't expect it to keep zero after being dropped, and the dot isn't perfect (mine has a star point coming off one side), but if you want a cheap tacticool red-dot this is it:

As far as a scope I'm not really that informed. You should definitely go check that forum though and just search for scope because they have some very knowledgeable people and it's solely focused on the 15-22.

I actually just ordered a dot sight for mine. I've read some really good reviews on it and I'm excited to try it out once it gets here.

I recently bought this and it's been working extremely well for me

Safety glasses should be strong enough. Check if there are any markings that say "ANSI rated". If you have a paintball mask that will definitely work though, and I would go with that. If you get shot in the tooth there is a good chance that it will crack/be damaged. Not something you want to mess with.

Red dots/ACOG/magnifying sights are plenty useful. You can get a pretty decent NCStar sight for $25. There is also one for $10 if you want a better primary or sidearm, or something else. For a pseudo-ACOG this will work. For a holo (I prefer these over red dots as they give a better sight picture and reticle) this should be fine.

What kind of gun do you like? M4, AK, G36C, MP5, etc.

What kind of pistol? 1911, Glock, M9, p226, etc.

Is that Canadian dollars or USD?

Edit: Problem with Canadian airsoft is that everything is 2-3 times more expensive. So if you can, buy from a U.S. retailer and go for the "Canadian legal" option, and they should adjust it for you, albeit at an extra fee. But $30 is nothing compared to the $200 it might cost to get the same gun in canada.

Edit 2: I'm retarded and can't Canadian airsoft. Evike offers this service for $8, which should make the trip over the border easy. The only other additional fee would be buying an upgraded spring, but that's extremely cheap.

Its the Leapers Golden Image 30mm Red/Green dot scope. You can pick it up on Amazon for $40 here

an optic would be good. I bought a Leapers Red Dot sight. For less than $50, it 's pretty good IMO.

It won't give you any magnification but it should be accurate up to 50 yards if you zero it in properly.

Note if you havent done so already: When you attach your mount, make sure you degreased the screws that came with the rails and the holes on the receiver. Then use a hollowground screw to attach them (take it from me, those screws strip very easily) after you put some RED Loctite on the screws.
